Description

The IR Products Business Unit is currently seeking a Process Technician. This individual will set up and operate semiconductor processing equipment; inspect semiconductor wafer products with microscopes and other precision measuring equipment such as X-Y measuring microscopes and thickness measurement tools; accurately record data in computers using Excel and Access and in logbooks. Individual will work in a cleanroom environment (no makeup) while wearing cleanroom garments, gloves, safety glasses and PPE. Minor cleaning maintenance will be performed on processing equipment.

This position will be on the Alternate Work Week schedule of Thursday-Monday with training occurring on the regular work week schedule of Monday-Friday for the first 8 weeks.

Qualifications

Requirements for this position include a High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience in a High Tech Manufacturing or Lab Environment operating equipment or running processes. Candidate must demonstrate high attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop their manufacturing skills through job training. Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and ability to follow detailed work instructions are required. Past experience handling small, delicate parts is required as exceptional manual dexterity is required to handle delicate semiconductor wafer products on the process line. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Proficiency with inputting data into a database, as well as using inspection and measuring equipment is also required. Ability to work with different functional groups in maintenance, engineering and production to reach production goals is also a must. Experience working in a cleanroom environment and handling semi-conductor wafers is strongly desired. Past experience using chemicals is also desirable.
