The Navistar IC Bus team is seeking a Process Technician - Painter to join their team!

Position Purpose and Requirements:
Performs a variety of pre-paint and paint procedures to prepare surfaces for paint application including sanding, masking, and inspection, body repair, spray techniques and painting using manual and semi-automatic machines.

Basic Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 3 months of automotive painting work, or 6 months vocational school paint training

Additional Requirements:
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to correctly prepare paint areas and use related equipment
  • Ability to repair and paint defects
  • Ability to perform painting in hard to reach and awkward positions
  • Experience with body repairs
  • At least a year of automotive hands on experience
  • Ability to achieve high performance goals with changing work directions
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with body repairs
  • At least a year of automotive hands on experience, preferred
