Our Pass Life Science division offers a unique and challenging opportunity for a Procurement/Business Systems Manager . This position will be based out of our Northborough , Massachusetts.

The Manager of Procurement Systems Group will comprise of purchasing and procurement specialists. This key person will be responsible for functioning as a subject matter expert (SME) for all System Applications Processes (SAP) software and access database at the Biopharm PASS USA Northborough division. SAP / Access Database troubleshooting to facilitate efficient project flow from initiation to closure. Executes Purchasing Agent functions for all PASS projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Initiation and setup of PASS projects within SAP Project Systems (PS) database.

Lead, train, and assist Process Engineers/Project Managers in maintaining and reporting from SAP PS with accurate and current project data.

Project invoicing and accounting based on SAP PS milestones as determined from project purchase orders.

Implementing any/all project Change Orders within SAP PS.

Lead, train and assist other PASS team members in initiating, creating, approving, and releasing all project required materials and suppliers within SAP.

Function as the liaison with PASS Accounting Department in Cortland and Northborough to complete all orders in a complete and accurate manner.

Work closely with senior management to define and implement efficient methods of using SAP in accordance with business needs of Biopharm PASS.

Effectively utilize SAP to extract key metric data for senior management


Create and execute Purchase Orders from project SAP requests and/or demands.

Ensures suppliers are paid based on upon agreed schedules and payment terms and conditions within PO’s.

Interface with Pall Legal Department to ensure suppliers comply with agreed payment terms and conditions within PO’s.

Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships. Obtain supply chain feedback via structured methodology and share data with Quality Control and other management groups.

Negotiate supplier pricing based upon purchasing variables such as frequency, quantities, etc.

Establish OEM agreements.

An Associates Degree in Business or related field with 6 years of relevant experience or a High School diploma with 10 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 5 years relevant experience preferred.

Proven experience and proficiency in the use and capabilities of SAP as a subject matter expert. Proven track record of SAP / Access Database usage within Pall or other organization(s).

Experience dealing directly with all suppliers in all situations while maintaining a professional and pleasant attitude.

Experience leading a small group in a procurement business system setting, facilitating communication and discussion in order to formulate plans to achieve the goals of the team when using SAP in the most efficient way.

Experience working with cross functional teams communicating clearly with all levels of personnel within the organization.

Accounting skills experience and detailed understanding of business processes and business systems both within and external to SAP.

Demonstrated experience in a management role leading, motivating, and evaluation of direct reports.
