Procurement Leader (Finance, HR, Consulting & Benefits)
The Sourcing Leader develops and executes strategies on assigned categories of indirect spend in support of Procurement’s strategic initiatives.
¿ Ensures accurate and timely delivery of cost competitive goods and services, often of a highly complex and/or high profile nature, as requested by internal business clients
¿ Assesses and builds annual sourcing initiatives that provide detailed commodity strategies that identify objectives and leveraged spend
¿ Negotiates preferable costs and contract details with effectiveness and due diligence on behalf of the internal client and best interests of the Company by analyzing price proposals, financial reports and other data
¿ Develops, implements and maintains a supplier diversity program in accordance with client and company requirements; mentors/educates supplies through meetings
¿ Manages communication, coordination and implementation of regional and national sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations to suppliers and internal clients
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
¿ Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent; degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or Engineering highly desirable; MBA and/or certification in purchasing management (CPM) preferred
¿ Minimum 7 years strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing, retail or financial services organization preferred
¿ Proven management experience with ability to lead teams in a manager as coach environment and ability to perform in a highly collaborative matrixed organization
¿ 6 Sigma Greenbelt (or other process improvement certification) preferred. Knowledge of sourcing process, supplier risk management, contracts; data and market analysis
