      Position Title: Procurement Manager-Logistics

      KBR is seeking a Procurement Manager-Logistics for our Houston office. Job duties will include but not be limited to the following:

      Job Duties:
      ·


      With general autonomy, ensures the effective performance of all activities associated with Logistics work for a major project.
      ·


      Plans, organizes, creates contracts, manages and continually improves the logistics processes and work methods. Manages personnel engaged in the coordination and execution of logistics services.
      ·


      Interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure customer expectations are being achieved.
      ·


      Responsible for the performance and reporting spend and volume activities of contracted service providers and project logistics activities.
      ·


      Manages subordinate personnel in the proper understanding and usage of discipline specific systems, policies and procedures.
      ·


      Makes recommendations to leadership regarding improvement of discipline processes/practices.
      ·


      Job role has direct impact on planning, growth, efficiency and the profitability of operations.
      ·


      Some travel may be required for this position.
      ·


      The position is an assignment of 20 months located at the Dow Engineering Center in Houston.
      ·


      After completion of this assignment consideration will be given to a new assignment within the logistics organization at the home office if an opportunity to do so exists.

      Qualifications
      ·
      Candidate will have managed the logistics activities of several EPC projects with a construction site outside the US or involving significant international sourcing and have at least 10 years of experience in managing logistics activities for EPC projects, including the building up of a team to manage general freight, heavy haul, customs clearance and commercial management.
      ·


      5+ years project logistics experience including (preference shown to those with a international project freight forwarding background):
      ·


      Experience working with ocean carriers (LCL, FCL, BB, Part-Charters and Charters)
      ·


      Knowledge of Export packing requirements
      ·


      3+ years managing office
      ·


      Export Compliance Trained
      ·


      Hazardous Materials Handling and Transportation Trained
      ·


      Knowledge of general Customs’ import rules and regulations including HTS codes determination
      ·


      Working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
      ·


      Able to work independently and meet deadlines
      ·


      Other experience and training not required but preferred:
      ·


      Air cargo shipping
      ·


      Knowledge of Heavy Haul and Transportation of OD materials
      ·


      Working knowledge of international Letters of Credit (preferably)
      ·


      EXIM Back Financing compliance and reporting
      ·


      Knowledge of Arabic
