Our client is one of the worlds leading providers of science and health information. They have engaged 1st Solution to recruit candidates for their open Product Director position. In this role you will be responsible for defining the product vision and scope for an interdisciplinary, integrated, evidence-based product offering that is intentionally designed to support the framework within their Ambulatory and Emergency product collection. You will work closely with the Director of Evidence-Based Practice and Patient Safety, Evidence-Based Practice Consultants and Subject Matter Experts to co-create clinical content for the continuum of care and emergency department settings. In addition, this role will define the EMR application design using the principles of Intentionally Designed Automation (IDA) for the Continuum of Care and Emergency Department.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Discover and validate market problems (both existing and future clients)
Define and size market opportunities
Define product vision and scope
Provide development oversight during all phases of the product development cycle
Lead the product road mapping process
Provide oversight for the integration of products into various health information technologies
Create and maintain the business plan including pricing
Identify buy/build/partner opportunities
Analyze product profitability and sales success
Define product positioning and sales strategy in close partnership with marketing and sales
Develop product launch plan
Collaborate with Transformation and Implementation Services in defining services to support successful adoption and implementation of product
Provide support to Transformation and Implementation Services in delivering client services as needed to support the products HIT integration and user adoption
Leadership experience in the oversight of product development/project management
Minimum 3 years experience clinical management preferred
5-7 years of strong clinical experience specifically within the ambulatory care and/or emergency department setting.
Significant knowledge of electronic health record utilization.
Effective presentation skills, both oral and written, adjusting delivery to target audience
Bachelors degree is required; Graduate degree in a healthcare profession is preferred
Experience with informatics preferred
Occasional travel required (20%)
