Job Summary: We are looking for an energetic, resourceful and organized person with a scientific background to manage our Benchtop product line. This includes coordinating continued support and enhancements for the current line as well as overseeing the product introduction process for next generation products from pre-release through commercial acceptance and through the product life cycle. This person will serve as a liaison between sales/marketing/customer support/production and the product
development team. He/she will help us transition new products from a R project to a full-fledged and successful member of our product portfolio. When products are in the field, this person will work closely with the sales and marketing and business development departments to assist in the development of new markets, and increase sales. This position will require wearing many hats and interacting successfully with many different parties: customers, sales/marketing, production, engineering, R and
software. Responsibilities: • Gathering feedback from a variety of sources; developing requirements and driving implementation of requests through the product lifecycle. • Working with management team to prioritize software and hardware improvements based on market and customer need. • Work with sales/marketing to develop new markets, defining the technical requirements and creating the right methods and procedures for consistent, accurate analysis. • Work closely with
Engineering to ensure that features required for new market penetration are quickly implemented in product line. • Define customers' requirements and follow through with internal personnel to make sure we have met customers' analytical needs. • Ensure that the right structures and documentation are in place to allow the product to be properly supported and successful. • Provide technical assistance with analytical/calibration and troubleshooting issues to all parties


SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • A sharp scientific/analytical mind. • Energetic, independent and personable - You'll be required to interact with many different parties to generate interest, set expectations and follow through. • Ability to coordinate and motivate actions from people who do not report to you. • Multidisciplinary interests - This isn't just a lab position. You'll be asked to quickly understand many different types of businesses and make solid technical
and business judgments on how to best proceed. • Excellent Presentation and communication skills • Some travel will be required EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • A minimum of a BS degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or other applicable technical discipline is required. . • 5+ years hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation; ideally in XRF. Previous Product Management experience is desirable, but not essential.
