UtiliSave is a national leader in providing utility cost recovery and reduction services to the commercial marketplace, and it now seeks to enter the retail residential single-user market. We are looking for an experienced product manager who will be responsible for spearheading a new and complete branding and market penetration strategy.
This new effort will develop a web-based consumer application to assist owners and renters of homes and apartments in selecting and purchasing deregulated utility from third party suppliers. The application is fed by the proprietary engines that already run UtiliSave's core business -- in essence, the vision is that the new site is "Powered by UtiliSave."
This is a rare chance to come in on the ground floor and play an integral role in the development of a transformational consumer business market. The product manager will in essence have the opportunity to build a new business along with the CEO/owner of UtiliSave and a number of the firm’s other key executives.
We are experts in the tariffs, taxes, rules, and regulations that govern utility billing. The savings UtiliSave has achieved for its clients to date approaches a quarter of a billion dollars.
The responsibilities of the product manager will include:
Take overall responsibility for implementing all sales and marketing aspects of this business. Interface with a creative team developing the web presence for the new venture. Oversee the entire branding strategy and its implementation. Create the go-to market, marketing and sales strategy and manage its implementation. Develop and implement additional market penetration plans (our intent is to begin in New York state and then expand to 19 other states which allow deregulated energy purchases).
Minimum of 5 years experience related to branding, marketing and launching web-based businesses. Past experience successfully launching a new business is essential. A record of success developing effective website user experiences. Experience setting, measuring and meeting website traffic goals. Familiarity with digital marketing and advertising tools and strategies (i.e., PPC, re-marketing and SEO) as well as marketing via social networking (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc). Extensive proven business building skills. Extremely strong written and verbal skills, especially in regard to copywriting. Must be a well-adapted executive who can thrive in a fast paced work environment, and take complete ownership of his/her work responsibilities A 4-year college degree in a related discipline is a requirement; advanced degrees are a plus.
