About the Product Manager SEM – Content & Utilization Opportunity
Are you interested in leading product efforts that drive material financial results? We are looking for an experienced, analytical and naturally curious Product Manager to drive the vision and product strategy for our entrepreneurial SEM Team. The SEM Product Manager will focus on landing page optimization through the utilization of existing tools and systems, incorporation and testing of content and the creation of new verticals and revenue streams. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and experience making data-supported business decisions, managing content channels or landing pages to financial KPIs, optimizing through MVT or A/B testing; and ideally has experience managing SEM campaigns and working with internal and/or third party campaign management tools. As the Product Manager SEM – Content & Utilization, you will:
Help craft and evangelize the SEM product strategy, own the success of a transparent roadmap and explain the decision making behind prioritization of tactics/projects
Establish an A/B testing roadmap and continuously identify and execute new tests that will optimize for monetization and increased usage. Report on performance insights and determine roll out strategy
Work with BI/Finance to create business models to analyze opportunities – from new features to new content verticals to new ad network opportunities
Run competitive analysis and deeply evaluate content providers for quality and monetization impacts to make partnership recommendations
Evaluate landing page performance across multiple domains and verticals and cross-optimize; work with UX on keeping desktop, phone and tablet experiences up to date
Investigate and communicate the impact of market, ad network or policy and seasonal factors on profit and identify strategies to mitigate risk
Skills & Requirements
Product Management experience: Ideally 5-7 years, 3-5 years acceptable
Experience owning or managing a content site, vertical or channel and optimizing the landing page around financial KPIs such as RPM, revenue or margin per user acquisition
Experience running SEM or other digital marketing campaigns and optimizing end-to-end from ads purchased to landing page conversion
Experience running MVT or A/B tests, reporting insights, making decisions and managing deployments to maximize opportunity while mitigating risk; experience with Google AdWords Campaign Experiments (ACE) a plus
Very strong verbal presentation and written communication skills. Able to distill complex problems and make them easily understood by broad audiences (executive management, technical teams, etc.)
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills; ability to explain business priority succinctly to engineers, management
General mathematics and financial modeling skills (business case preparation in Excel)
Experience with web analytics tools and campaign management tools a plus
BA/BS degree or MBA in Business or related discipline
