Job Description:
Harmonic is taking its world class video processing products to the cloud and offering them as a service to some of the world’s largest media companies so they can create amazing video experiences for their customers. We are looking for people with cloud and product management expertise to join our cloud platform product group. Join a team of resourceful, assertive and technically savvy product managers engaging with customers, engineering and sales to scope, design and deploy solutions that address the future of the multiscreen video economy.

Responsibilities include:

• Work continuously with customers, partners, sales, business development, and other stakeholders to collect product requirements
• Work with engineering on features implementation
• Create and maintain product roadmaps and ensure timely completion of the required milestones
• Work with marketing to create internal and external product messaging/positioning
• Develop marketing collateral and product documentation (e.g. product specifications, datasheet, application notes, white papers, sales and customer presentations and training materials)
• Develop and implement pricing and product positioning strategy and sales guidelines
• Attend tradeshows and marketing events
• Sales and pre-sales support. Act as the de-facto point of contact, for technical, pricing, RFP response or marketing questions or enquiries raised by sales and pre-sales personnel
• Create and maintain competitive product analysis, define competitive strategy to support sales to capture and/or increase market share

Required Job Skills:
• At least 3 years of experience as product manager for web or cloud products
• Track record of activities for (business and/or technical) software based products, preferably with a digital video focus
• Good understanding of modern web application & cloud technologies is a must
• Good understanding of user interface design and usability is a must
• Excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills, able to communicate on an ongoing basis and flawlessly with multiple parties, geographically collocated or distributed
• This position requires some domestic and international travel

Educational Requirements
• B.S. or B.A. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Digital Arts
• MBA preferred
