Working closely with the Vice President of Marketing and senior product and marketing managers, the Product Marketing Manager – Campaigns will help to exceed AccuWeather revenue goals by preparing, executing and tracking results for direct email and web marketing campaigns and other lead generation activities, as well as participating in research, sales tool development, and major opportunity support as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and demonstrate the personal product knowledge required to be effective within the assigned areas.
Develop and demonstrate strong expertise in email marketing tools and best practices.
Create, source and maintain emailing lists of prospects, customers, etc. as required to execute marketing plan
Participate in and contribute to the development of messaging for assigned products.
Implement messaging into emailing materials, web advertising, newsletters, etc. as required to execute marketing plans.
Launch mailings, update web advertising, etc. in accordance with marketing plan timeline to generate leads, drive web sign-ups and promote customer retention.
Closely monitor campaign performance, gathering and creatively analyzing data to assess campaign effectiveness, customer acquisition costs, churn and other relevant metrics, and to identify ways to improve.
Conduct competitive research as required to refine marketing messages and campaigns.
Based on competitive research and analyses of campaign performance, contribute data and ideas to the development and review of comprehensive marketing plans on a 12-month rolling basis.
In collaboration with product management and sales, develop and maintain sales tools (selling sheets, spec sheets, presentation materials, proposal templates, etc.) as assigned.
Facilitate and coordinate customer and prospect webinars as required.
Participate in public relations activities as required.
Participate in trade shows as required, including planning, booth development, pre-show attendance generation, post-show fulfillment, etc.
Maintain and enhance the presentation of applicable products and services on the web.
Participate in major business opportunities as required.
Own the timely completion of assigned projects and materials.
Other duties as assigned.
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Previous outbound marketing experience as evidenced by a portfolio of previous successful campaigns is required.
Track record of successful campaigns with Google Ad Words or other equivalent paid search tools required.
Experience using Google Analytics is required
Online media and merchandising experience highly desirable.
Experience in e-commerce highly desirable.
SEO experience highly desirable.
Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) and demonstrated high initiative are required.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the PC environment and strong Internet research skills are also required.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to travel as needed, though travel will not exceed 10% of the job.
