Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will build and gain executive approval for a comprehensive outbound marketing plan. Working with all marketing, technical and video production functions, the Product Marketing Manager will lead and do marketing activities as required to execute the plan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop the personal product knowledge required to be effective within the assigned areas.
Perform research on market acceptance and competing products as required.
Develop and secure approval for a comprehensive marketing plan on a 12-month rolling basis for the StoryTeller Interactive Touchscreen, Weather Team™, the Audience Building Partnership™, the AccuWeather Television Network™, weather display products, content for public displays, and associated advertising inventory.
Lead and perform the tasks necessary to execute the marketing plan.
Participate in and contribute to the development of messaging for assigned products.
Plan, create materials for, and execute campaigns (outbound marketing, lead generation, partner development, reference account development, etc.) in assigned areas to meet business objectives.
Working closely with Sales, plan, create and distribute tools (scripts, demos, presentations, videos, proposals, web content, visual aids, etc.) as needed to support sales opportunities.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key journalists in markets relevant to Display Systems, leading to frequent and positive exposure in the trade media, both in the US and globally.
Identify and recommend required partnerships and sales channels.
Contribute to the creation of strong relationships with key partners, as required.
Participate in major business opportunities and trade shows as required.
Own the timely completion of assigned projects and materials.
Other duties may be assigned.
BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in relate field.
Five years previous outbound marketing experience as evidenced by a portfolio of previous successful campaigns is a plus.
Two years previous experience in marketing or selling to media companies – especially television – is required.
Prior job experience in a television station, with digital signage or out-of-home media, in marketing within the retail or museums and parks industries, or in corporate communications a plus.
A track record of demonstrated successful marketing projects characterized by high initiative is required.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Must have demonstrated skills in written communications.
Prior successful experience in the scripting and production of marketing videos required.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in the PC or MAC environments and strong Internet research skills are required.
Desktop graphic design skills and desktop video editing skills a plus.
