The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of numerous disciplines whose main objective is to successfully promote and support all aspects of a products lifecyle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user. We have immediate needs for a Product Technical Lead (Systems Engineer II/Sr) to join our team.

Job Description:

The Product Technical Lead is responsible for retrieving inoperable customer assets from the field, directing of the troubleshooting and repair of these assets to meet specification requirements, and insuring delivery of the repaired asset back to the customer in as minimal of a Repair Turn Around Time (RTAT) as possible.

Functional task activities include but not limited to:

Managing the troubleshooting and repair of the asset at any number of locations including but not limited to in-house factory, third part depot, customer depot, or OEM supplier

Arranging for and tracking of the logistics involved in transportation to and from the customer site as well as to and from the designated repair location
·
Transacting all material though the PRISM Depot MRP system and updating / maintaining any associated databases or product status indicators
·
Communicating with external customers to track incoming assets and forecast future demands based upon product field performance
·
Supporting quarterly EACs, program reviews, IPDS Gate reviews, and other regularly scheduled program performance tracking events
·
Generating / Processing the required paperwork (Shipping Memos / DD1149's) required to ship product to USG end customers

Responding to requests for proposal / generating, bases of estimate (BOEs) as required
This position can be a salary grade level E02 or E03 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
Basic Qualifications :

BS degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or related technical degree

2+ years experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment

Experience with sonar systems; assembly, test, and troubleshooting

Experience with manufacturing process flows, configuration management, and manufacturing resources planning (MRP) systems and methodology

Experience with logistics engineering tasks / roles pertaining to sustainment logistics with emphasis on repair / return and upgrade programs.

Experience with MS Office

Existing Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

R6S specialist

Four years relevant experience

Experience working in an electronics manufacturing/ Integrated Product Team environment.

Experience presenting to and supporting senior management and customers

Ability to focus on the tactical execution of organizational core competencies and discriminate between organizational functional task responsibilities and associated yet unrelated tasks

Ability to monitor and maintain program budgets, manpower, CPI / SPI performance metrics, and other associated cost and schedule dependent performance indicators

Ability to track program execution status and generate associated performance metrics such as RTAT, WIP Status, Demand Satisfaction in support of Tracking Book and other program performance overviews

Skilled at working effectively in cross functional teams represented by Operations, Engineering, Finance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Program Management

Organized and effective at managing multiple assets, activities, and functional task assignments concurrently

Ability to work with little to no supervision

Ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels of a matrix organization (from assembly operators to program managers) with both internal and external customers

Experience with SAP MRP systems / Raytheon PRISM

Experience with MS Office / Project / Access and related tools

Self starter with strong leadership, organizational skills

Ability to research complex problems and provide solutions, either working independently or in a group environment.

Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, both direct and other agencies such as NAVICP and DCMA.

Strong financial background/experience with practical user experience of EVMS, EAC reviews and IDPS gate requirements.

Participation with Integrated process teams, both internal and customer focused.
