Assist with developing product strategy and roadmap

Recommend processes for requirements capture, prioritizing and new product selection, collaboration with key stakeholders, tracking and managing progress, and other key processes for product development

Conduct market research and competitive analysis on product competition

Create documentation and reports for market position and strategy

Create surveys, conduct interviews, etc to determine market and competition

Work with teams of cross-functional members and accepts accountability for the team to support the various phases of new product development, including continuous improvement

Analyze product and market opportunities and recommend new products, market entries, and product support based on research data and input from members of the marketing, sales, operations and engineering teams

Regularly perform pricing and competitive analysis, recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality or reduce costs

Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external development and support teams (infrastructure, operations, client services, etc.)

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, Business Administration or related technical field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a product specialist, technical, business, or software marketing role

Broad technical understanding with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications and tools

Team work and communication skills

Ability to provide a recommendation for technical and functional product direction through research, client interactions, and emerging technology knowledge, with use of roadmaps and strategy documents

Ability to engage clients through users groups, phone calls, emails, surveys, and site visits to determine confidence factors and establish directions that fit the majority of the client needs along with MSA direction

Ability to provide technical sales support and product demonstrations

Ability to create functional, technical, business and market documentation

Ability to define application and business needs

Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
