Provide support and monitoring of MICROS POS and eBusiness applications in a Data Center Environment.
Provide internal communications relating to maintenance, outages, or other Hosting Center events.
Complete upgrades, apply patches, and perform regular maintenance on production environments.
Respond to trouble calls, outages and perform troubleshooting and provide solutions.
Complete daily checklist of environments to validate performance and stability.
Create Clarify tickets in response to issues discovered during regular operations.
Provide recommendations and feedback to Product Management and Product Development as it relates to applications.
Create documentation related to operations, implementation, monitoring and control.
Prepare PL/SQL statements and execute stored procedures with in ORACLE and MS SQL databases.
Work scheduled on call shifts as a point of contact for Help Desk and NOC escalations during afterhours and weekend shifts.
Respond to feature and functionality questions from the various channels, including both internal/external customers and vendors.
All other tasks as assigned by the Sr. Product Specialist and Hosting Applications Manager.
Due to the nature of this position, employee maybe subject to extensive background checks (including fingerprinting) by MICROS customers and/or vendors as a condition toconduct business on their premises. Other duties may be assigned.
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong computer/systems background:
PC platforms, Windows Operating Systems, SQL, RDBMS.
Related applications knowledge for represented product (ie. Back Office, POS).
MICROS product knowledge a plus.
