Job Purpose and Objectives
Retention of customer base within territory through closer relations with main contacts. Building new clientele within territory with new aftermarket sales.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Work closely with techs in your territory to discuss and take care of customer concerns and needs. Review paperwork to make sure they are processing it according to company policy. Train, motivate and counsel techs as needed to maintain company standards of performance in daily tasks.
Customer Retention and New Service Accounts
Maintain contact with current customers to understand their needs, and be able to react quickly to handle any concerns that might arise. Actively pursue new accounts as prospective business partners, make cold calls to identify new accounts in the area, follow up on leads for new service business or product sales. Be proactive in addressing customers material handling needs by reviewing maintenance disputes as needed, have full authority to make decisions on issues that arise.
Follow up on leads and quotes to ensure customer receives information requested in a timely manner. Prepare quotations for after market products and services. Work with credit department on past due service accounts. Meet regularly with technicians to ensure proper communication regarding territory, paper flow, advising of any issues and communicate resolutions to issues.
Qualifications for Position
This position requires minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent. Person should have prior company experience and understanding of internal operations. A valid driver’s license, with a good driving record. Stellar communication and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and good motivational skills.
This position will pay a base salary, plus commissions for services and product sold.
Goals and Expectations
The goal of this program is to improve aftermarket service and support for our customer, and build a better relationship with our customer base which will improve customer retention. Working in close relationship with service technicians will improve the quality of service our customers will come to expect.
