A General Laborer works in a manufacturing facility and performs general labor tasks within and around the plant.
Observes all safety rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment and material handling
Follows established General Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines, including maintaining an orderly and clean work area
Perform periodic equipment inspections, troubling shooting, adjustments and cleaning of equipment
Count, pack and inspects finished product for correct label, cleanliness, and integrity
Works to understand overall impact of his/her job on team productivity and plant profitability, maintains high level of personal productivity and contributes suggestions for work process improvements to Supervisory
Performs specific tasks as assigned by production supervisors which may including moving pallets, loading, packing, dumping, and cutting
Identifies and addresses product or processing problems in a timely manner
Monitor, complete, and maintain efficient and accurate paperwork as needed
Assist in orientation and/ or training of other associates
What do I need to be considered a candidate?
Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
High School Diploma or GED required
Special certification may be required for use of forklift and chemicals
Knowledge, skills, and ability to operate computer programs as needed
One year experience in a manufacturing/ industrial environment
Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
Must be able to lift 55 lbs
Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
Exposed to cold/ heat/ humidity
Able to work a multi shift environment
Will be required to work around bakery ingredients as part of the daily activities
