DuPont Pioneer is seeking a Production Location Manager to be responsible for the effective and profitable management of the Plainview, TX sorghum production facility, operating across multiple functions and product lines. Plans for and mobilizes resources needed to develop high quality seed, on-time, to meet delivery and stock transport schedules, plus ensures distribution of other products. Manages internal and external relationships. Provides leadership to staff regarding operation of all their areas and responsibilities. Duties/Responsibilities Organizational structures and jobs designed to meet results. Workforce plans developed to determine future needs, how to best source candidates, etc. Qualified workers attracted and retained. Individual differences and talents leveraged and valued; work teams used and managed effectively. Goals and priorities clarified, aligned, and well managed. Performance management and development process utilized to coach and provide feedback to employees. Individual and workgroup learning and continuous improvement encouraged. Effort and results recognized and rewarded to employees. Issues and conflicts resolved. Safety and wellness promoted. Ability to respond and adapt to a rapidly changing business environment enhanced. Assistance from HR & Production Manager obtained as needed. All personnel decisions (e.g., hiring, promotion, discipline, etc.) reviewed and approved. Coach, support, and develop employees.

Achievement of annual plan and budget business targets. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying and interpreting local issues and trends, developing production and workforce projections. Effective grower and support. Local optimization and on-time completion of production plans. Achievement of seed-quality plan standards. Maintain high productivity. Good working relationships with other groups. Positive community relations maintained via coordination and participation in public relations activities. Sale and use of Pioneer brand products promoted whenever possible.

Lead the labor planning needs assessment for all regular, temporary, and seasonal staff. Develop and monitor in conjunction with location management, local grower and vendor requirements. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Business or related field, or equivalent amounts of education and experience required. Eight-ten (8-10) years experience in managing a production facility required. Experience in managing and leading a production facility is important.
