Overview:

The Production Specialist – Signs & Graphics (S&G) has the primary responsibility of producing complex orders and operating large format equipment that require more advanced knowledge and expertise. The Production Specialist – S&G will assist the Production Assistant Manager – S&G in managing, monitoring, and facilitating all Signs & Graphics systems and production processes. This team member may manage the tracking process, coordinate production, coordinate pick-ups and deliveries, perform final quality checks and ensure communication among shifts. In addition, the Production Specialist – S&G communicates with other team members and/or customers as needed during production and oversees job sharing with other FedEx Office locations and outside vendors. This team member may be responsible for taking customer orders and consulting with the customer regarding their order.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for production on full service orders, including finishing services and large job management
  • Process and produce Signs & Graphics print/finish orders as requested and/or directed
  • Operate printing and auxiliary equipment
  • Perform all phases of equipment set-up, operation and routine maintenance
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, to include cleaning and repairing
  • Provide customer service, including problem solving to satisfy those needs with a minimum amount of supervision
  • Produce work in accordance to workflow requirements in order to enable Done Right On Time quality results
  • Follow instructions of supervisors and assists other team members in performing center functions
  • Apply a thorough knowledge of theory and technique to achieve the highest possible quality
  • Take preemptive action to prevent errors and waste
  • Troubleshoot equipment and customer problems using extensive knowledge of solutions and resources
  • Direct work of production team members
  • All other duties as needed or required

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • 1+ year of related experience
  • Prior experience in design or graphics software preferred
  • Prior experience of FXO products & services offerings preferred
  • Commercial print environment experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful passing of background check
  • For current FedEx Office team members, must meet hiring criteria for the position and transfer requirements as outlined in the Team Member Handbook
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
