Pentair"€™s Residential Flow GBU is a leading provider of residential water pumps, irrigation and crop spray equipment, and marine and specialty pumps and accessories. Key markets include residential end users, waste water dealers and distributors, and agricultural irrigation, and crop protection industries. It also provides specialty application water management products for recreational vehicles (RV), marine, and mobile fire markets. Supervision of evening shift operations employees in the completion of assigned work activities. Responsible and accountable for the effective, efficient, accurate, and safe operations. Demonstrate leadership in attaining department goals, objectives, productivity and quality targets, and driving improvement in all areas.

Completion of assigned and scheduled work products. Review and execution of production plan.

Develops, organizes, adjusts, and executes daily/weekly work schedule and assigned resources in completion of work products. Establishes priorities and sequences.

Responsible for organizing and adjusting hourly work schedule based on planned and/or actual workload in the completion of near-term work products. Executes hourly / daily production plans as specified by manager.

*
Manage assigned resources to or below budgetary levels, and assist manager in budget development.

*
Execute and track performance against planned matrix. Track performance metrics and adjust team’s work processes to safely and accurately maximize productivity. Measure Department performance against goals.

Supervise, participate and promote the completion of all 5S activities for the assigned team.

*
Maintain the accuracy and delivery of all work products and services in your assigned area.

*
Conducts/Runs Kaizen events in assigned department. Responsible for driving continuous improvement. Active participant in department Kaizen events.

*
Demonstrate leadership in completion and support of daily work activities and in implementing business process changes.

*
Responsible for identification and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.

*
Measures, reports and supervises the realization of department goals.

*
Provide Leadership in generating suggestions for cost improvement. Manage proper implementation of programs, policies, and procedures that relate to your assigned area including the Lean Initiative.

Develop leadership structure and skills of team leads

*
Ensure effective training and cross-training of hourly employees

*
Capacity to develop positive and productive professional relationships within department and across departments.

*
Second level of department supervision of unskilled / skilled evening shift production workforce. Supervises the assigned team in the completion of planned and unplanned work products.

*
Work as a Team with other supervisors/leads to coordinate effective/efficient movement of people and other resources.

*
Pre and Post-shift preparation of work activities, clean-up and closure for assigned team.

*
Provide Leadership in continuously practicing safe work habits to avoid accidents. Must have knowledge of company Safety Awareness Program.

*
Complete the First Report of Injury for accident reports and implement safeguards to prevent work related injuries.

*
Identify and maintain Safety Compliance/Communication of company safety program.

*
Deliver and document all employee disciplinary actions and administer the Progressive Discipline process.

*
Administer company attendance guidelines including: TimeLink Management, coding all work absences, tracking assigned team’s status against guidelines, and coaching employees on attendance matters as required.

*
Develop and deliver fair and accurate annual performance reviews.

*
Recommend hire, release, promotion, and salary adjustment actions to manager. Assist in employee selection process.

*
Recommend staffing levels to manager.

*
Conduct effective, structured meetings with assigned team. Includes daily/weekly departmental meetings, and monthly focus factory meetings as required.

*
Maintain compliance with Pentair, local, state, and federal policies. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Employee Handbook.

*
Coordinate, manage and execute vacation schedule for assigned team, coordinating with peers to ensure effective department coverage.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Operations management or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in Supervision in a manufacturing environment
