The Production Technology Support position’s primary responsibility is to provide support for the various IT-related tools and processes utilized in Design, Prepress and Production. Support will be provided in the form of troubleshooting hardware/software issues, hardware/software maintenance, G7® color management and evaluation/implementation of enhanced tools and processes approved by Management. This position will act as a liaison between the IT Department and Design Services, Prepress, Digital and Film Departments to improve overall communication.
Production Technology Support
Understand the processes, limitations, workflows, requirements, goals and interactive relationships between the Design Services, Prepress, Digital, Film and IT Departments.
Provide support for Production Technology hardware and software.
Manage support requests submitted to the IT ticketing system.
Implement approved solutions.
Recommend new or updated solutions, when necessary.
Provide “proper use” guidance to users based on approved, documented solutions.
Perform regular maintenance/calibration.
Collaborate with Print and Production Managers for print, film, and color issues related to Graphic Design and RIP.
Provide ongoing recommendations for best practices and equipment.
Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to maintain, support and recommend enhancements to Production hardware/software solutions.
New output technologies.
Optimization of the physical layout of output devices.
Serve as the primary technical knowledge resource for Production Technology hardware and software.
RIP systems - Queue creation - Workflow enhancements'
Monitor all Design, Digital and Film output devices for system errors, hung processes, and configurations not consistent with established parameters.
Facilitate communication of IT-related matters to Design, Prepress and Production staff.
Maintain Production Technology vendor relationships.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in the field or in a related area helpful
