The UNC Department of OB- GYN is recruiting a tenured Professor to serve as Director of its Horizons program. Horizons is an innovative program within the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill that invests in the health and well being of women and children with substance abuse problems both before and after pregnancy. Treatment components are all gender based and trauma informed and consist of prenatal care combined with substance abuse treatment,intensive outpatient programs in two NC counties(Orange and Alamance),a 25 apartment residential unit housing both women and children,and a five star daycare. Our program is a training site for both child and adult psychiatric trainees. We are currently in the midst of a major capital campaign to raise funds for building an outpatient facility for our activities.

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications should include: a track record of successful external funding from federal agencies conducting substance abuse research in this population; experience supervising a multidimensional program; qualification for a tenured appointment in one or more Departments at UNC -CH as a faculty member and the ability to effectively represent Horizons both within the University of North Carolina and around the world.
