Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee invites applications from outstanding scholars for the endowed chair position in Accounting or Finance. The Chaired professor’s primary responsibility will be to provide outstanding research and teaching leadership in the School as well as to cultivate and maintain effective linkages to the business community. Additional duties include guiding doctoral students and affording advice for the forthcoming PhD program in Accounting.

Minimum Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. This candidate will possess an outstanding research record in accounting and/or finance and will further show evidence of teaching excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who are nationally and internationally recognized for leadership in U.S. and global capital markets research and who are experienced in building relationships with the business community.
