This position serves as an advisor and mentor to UTEP students applying to medical school (pre-med students).
Provides students with guidance student regarding educational goal setting, degree plans, eligibility requirements, application process, and course selection. May track students' academic progress and provide academic assistance through the respective programs/systems; assesses eligibility requirements and progress of students. May collect, review, and follow up with students regarding completed applications and respective processes, ensuring documentation received is complete and accurate. Participates in recruiting and marketing presentations/activities for prospective students and parents. Communicates with respective personnel across campus, serving as liaison between academics and students. Maintains compliance with university rules and regulations to ensure academic and administrative integrity. Complies with all State and University policies.
Other related functions as assigned.
Posses a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training to the essential duties and responsibilities.
