Conducts a wide array of analyses in support of the Program Manager for Maritime Patrol & Reconnaissance Aircraft (PMA-290) and Program Manager for Air Anti-submarine Warfare Sensors (PMA-264).

Responsibilities:

Oversees development of detailed platform, sensor, and weapons concepts of operations. Conducts detailed force structure analyses and sensor trade studies. Participates in NAVAIR-led analysis of alternatives, to include developing study plans, leading analysis teams, and producing final reports. Develops quick-turn briefs and issue papers in support of the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Force Community of Interest. Serves as primary SPA interface to multiple NAVAIR clients.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics or Engineering required. Operations research degree desired. Former naval aviator or naval flight officer with background in VP/HS/HSM communities; OPNAV N98/81/80 and/or NAVAIR staff experience highly desired. Strong analytical background and knowledge of anti-submarine warfare (ASW) platforms, concepts, tactics, sensors and weapons is a must. Working-level knowledge of the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) is a plus. Familiarity with Navy modeling and simulation tools (e.g. ASPECT, PC-IMAT, GCAM) is a plus. Must be proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint with a strong emphasis on Excel skills. Must be capable of presenting highly technical ideas and concepts in understandable terms to senior level clients.
