The Program Coordinator – WorkSource is a full-time, classified position at South Seattle Community College (SSCC). The Coordinator will supervise the WorkSource Frontend and Resource Lab personnel in providing new and returning job seekers with pre-employment assessment and the delivery of job seekers services. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will supervise, train, and oversee up to 6 part-time hourly, work study, and interns in meeting the WorkSource Intensive Frontend services policies. Rate posted above represents the 3% reduction.
Meet all measures of frontend performance as outlined in WorkSource Policies and oversee the frontend staff to ensure they are trained on the delivery of current WorkSource programs and services.
Implement appropriate procedures to handle inappropriate behaviors.
Handle at the first level customers complaints to minimize escalation of complaints.
Oversee Front Desk PT Hourly and work study students providing training about constantly changing programs and policies. Provide job seekers and clients with an initial employment assessments and comprehensive job seeker resources provided from SSCC and the WorkSource System.
Identify customer’s needs and determines appropriate next step to achieve their employment goal.
Identify job seekers veteran’s status.
Show job seeker the menu of job services.
Ability to navigate WorkSource Resources.
Input data and devise processes for data entry to meet compliance measurements for the WorkSource System and program coordination services which includes but is not limited to preparing budgets, travel coordination, expenses, and ordering of supplies.
Develop and implement measures to assure delivery of services.
Collaborate with multiple campus departments to coordinate services and participate with the campus community to help integrate the WorkSource resources throughout the campus.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities:
Two (2) years supervisory management experience of frontend education or social services organization.
Two (2) years demonstrated track record in working with diverse populations.
Two (2) years demonstrated ability in staff training and personnel development.
Demonstrated ability to handle multi-customer staff and/or personnel requests in tandem.
Demonstrated ability in tracking customer frontend measurements to assure compliance to statewide WorkSource policies.
