Additional Summary Specific to Job

  • Oversees all aspects of Student Success Program(s) and NAVIGATOR Project(s) for students, advisors and faculty in graduate, undergraduate, and community college institutions.
  • Helps create annual budgets, negotiates service contracts and reports progress and development expenditure.
  • Prepares periodic progress reports for office director.
  • Develops reports for the Office of Cultural and Institutional Diversity and assists in outcome evaluations with the UTHealth School of Biomedical Informatics.
  • Prepares reports for Student Success Program and grant proposals for NAVIGATOR Projects.
  • Communicate and interacts with representatives from State, Federal and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects (Student Success Programs and NAVIGATOR Projects).
  • Coordinates database development with Biomedical Informatics and School of Public Health IT personnel; and with Public Affairs to create web page and campus communications for the Office of Cultural and Institutional Diversity and its associated programs and projects.
  • Helps develop reports regarding recruitment, selection, hiring, termination, training, development, and performance evaluation for office director submission to human resources.
  • Other Duties Assigned: Assists grant Project Director and Co-Director in the evaluation of programs and projects with collaborating institutions. Supervises staff personnel. Assists in the evaluation of data generated from programs and projects from collaboration institutions.
Organizational Requirements

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of seven years applicable experience or relevant work experience in lieu of education. May require program-specific certifications.

Departmental Requirements/Preferences

  • Candidate has completed advanced statistical analysis training.
  • Master degree in Biomedical Informatics is preferred;
  • Candidate has published research implementing advanced multifactor, univariate, and multivariate analyses.
