Driver Systems Program Manager DOT IT Functional Analyst II DESCRIPTION An IT Functional Analyst II is the journey level of work providing problem analysis and ongoing user support coordinating system development and implementation and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe computers or large client server platforms Duties include but are not limited to Performing problem analysis to provide appropriate and timely corrective action when agency user operations are adversely impacted by application system’s malfunction or error reviewing error codes generated by the application system to determine the appropriate course of action for correction assisting technical programmer analysts in the design development and testing of application system corrections or enhancements by analyzing modifications recommended determining system impact and estimating effort and resources required to perform modification conducting multiple programs of on and offsite training and support for all levels of users on the functions and capabilities of complex applications by using established training techniques and stateoftheart software Employees in this classification do not supervise Employees in this classification receive general supervision from an IT Functional Analyst Supervisor information technology administrator or other administrator MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting Finance Business Administration Public Administration Human Resources Management Information Technology or other related field with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems Experience One (1) year of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support coordinating system development and implementation and training users on the functionality of applications for agency or statewide systems housed on mainframe computers or large client server platforms SELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS The above experience must have included developing and writing policies procedures guidelines or business rules Position Specific and Selective Qualification Recruitments are utilized when the position requires specific or additional bona fide occupational qualifications (knowledge skill or ability) Notes 1 Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and two additional years of experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry word processing spreadsheet graphics database or other applications may be substituted for the required education 2 Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry word processing spreadsheet graphics database or other applications may be substituted on a yearforyear basis for
