Manages the initial implementation, administration, and vendor relationships. Interacts with vendors and MVP providers to resolve issues in a timely manner. Performs ongoing financial and performance analysis on the contracts including impact on medical costs, provider satisfaction, and member satisfaction. Prepares and presents recommendations based on the analysis. Leads meetings as often as necessary involving vendor and MVP IT staff to insure that all contracted data exchanges are being handled correctly. Interacts with IPA representatives to ensure that vendor activities are consistent with MVP obligations to the IPA s. Assists with other provider recruitment and contracting efforts as well as the development of a vendor performance program for Ancillary Contracting. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education: BA degree or the equivalent amount of education and directly related experience.
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years contracting and contract implementation, preferably in health insurance.
" Knowledge of contract implementation process, capitation programs, and vendor relationship requirements.
" Excellent negotiating skills and experience with contract language.
" Detail-oriented worker, excellent organizational skills, able to work on multiple projects.
" Excellent communication skill including demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex, multi-party relationships.
" Ability to work independently and apply good judgment.
" Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and tact while making the best decisions for MVP and our customers.
" Excellent analytical skills including demonstrated ability to draw conclusions from the data, develop recommendations and present findings.
" Solid knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word.
" Knowledge of MS Access.
