GE utilizes Oracle HR as its’ global employee database. The OHR ERP system was built in phases throughout the past 15 years and was configured to meet GE global and local requirements. As we centralize our HR Operations, we need to focus on global simplification. This role will be responsible for simplifying global configurations and standards in the environment, and insuring minimal impact to the approximately 800 downstream consumers of HR data, the suite of OHR custom and HR Systems tools.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Partner with key HR stakeholders / customers across all GE businesses to understand the business strategy and develop a re-usable approach to driving standardization
  • Drive simplification
  • Eliminate variance of process where not required by local regulations
  • Maintain multiple projects and work with multiple clients
  • Coordination with shared services organization and peers in the development and implementation of applications.
  • Work with our applications team (such as HRDM, Doc & Policy Manager, Vacancy, Exit) to insure standards / configurations / data-cleanup needs are met prior to roll-out schedules
  • Lead the Oracle HR configuration team by supporting month release changes
  • Deep understanding of Oracle HR configuration guidelines to ensure compliance of vendor roadmap
  • Partner with functional Data Governance team to develop plans, standard approach and implementation of configurations
    Manage several project teams and provide day-to-day direction of global resources
  • Work as a Business Partner with clients and all GE Businesses to evaluate / improve processes related to Human Resources
    Prepare and review project plans, status reports, cost/benefit studies, and recommend funding and resources
  • Provide bi-weekly updates to executive leadership on project status

  • Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of IT project management experience Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township, MI (near Ann Arbor / Detroit)
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS ERP Configurations
  • Strong verbal and written communication with good exposure to working in a cross cultural environment
  • Experienced in customer facing roles gathering functional requirements and translating them in flexible, scalable technical solutions leveraging emerging technologies where feasible
  • Strong analytic ability is critical, as is attention to detail
  • Excellent change management skills with attention to quality
  • Minimum 3 years with hands-on technical experience with Oracle ERP’s and Application Development
  • Experience leading onshore and offshore teams and contractors
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field preferred
  • Experience leading technically challenging development projects
  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and incorporates input from various sources.
  • Experience working with a global team
  • Demonstrated customer focus – builds strong customer relationships and partners with customers to help shape future initiatives
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives
  • Certified in Six Sigma
  • ITLP Graduate
