We are currently seeking a Program Manager-Headquarters GEIS for the Silver Spring, Maryland area.
Implements the contractor team support role to implement all the above PWS tasks
Facilities the flow of information between program members, scientific directors, and the contractor team
Coordinate the decision-making process between all program participants
Supervises lower-level program members and is responsible for their hiring
Projects, executes, and manages the budget for the program as a whole and for individual project within the program
Review space use within the program and makes recommendations accordingly
Directs, coordinates, and conducts personnel actions and provides guidance and assistance as required
Provides advice on manpower use, workflow, and operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and make overall improvements to the program.
Analyzes cost and pricing data submitted by the contract centers to verify and substantiate direct and indirect costs.
Prepares request for contract actions and proposals. Provides full cooperation with all contract requirements, schedules, and provisions.
Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.
Must understand all organizational objectives
Must be knowledgeable about the Federal government budgeting process
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to use sound judgment in solving problems
Must be able to coordinate many complex systems and programs at the same time
Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must have a Master’s degree in a scientific or related field
Must have a 6 to 10 years of related experience in scientific project or program management
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
