We are currently seeking a Program Manager-Headquarters GEIS for the Silver Spring, Maryland area.


  • Implements the contractor team support role to implement all the above PWS tasks
  • Facilities the flow of information between program members, scientific directors, and the contractor team
  • Coordinate the decision-making process between all program participants
  • Supervises lower-level program members and is responsible for their hiring
  • Projects, executes, and manages the budget for the program as a whole and for individual project within the program
  • Review space use within the program and makes recommendations accordingly
  • Directs, coordinates, and conducts personnel actions and provides guidance and assistance as required
  • Provides advice on manpower use, workflow, and operational procedures to increase efficiency, productivity, and make overall improvements to the program.
  • Analyzes cost and pricing data submitted by the contract centers to verify and substantiate direct and indirect costs.
  • Prepares request for contract actions and proposals. Provides full cooperation with all contract requirements, schedules, and provisions.
  • Maintain a safe workplace ensuring that he/she is aware of and observes appropriate safety and occupational health rules and regulations. Employee is required to attend safety training relative to his/her position and report any infractions of safety procedures to the facility Safety Officer.
  • Performs light duties and other related duties as required and assigned.

  • Must be able to use sound judgment in solving problems
  • Must be able to coordinate many complex systems and programs at the same time
  • Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must have a Master’s degree in a scientific or related field
  • Must have a 6 to 10 years of related experience in scientific project or program management
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Must be able to work independently following a brief period of specific technical training.
