Duties and responsibilities include:
  • being the initial point of contact for office visitors and callers
  • processing travel authorizations, reimbursement requests and reserving cars
  • completing hiring paperwork for adjunct faculty and graduate assistants
  • completing tuition waivers for graduate assistants
  • publicizing scholarships, processing award paperwork and ordering name plates for plaques
  • ordering and maintaining inventory of computers, supplies, equipment and keys
  • generating thank you letters to donors
  • backing up the Administrative Specialist as needed
Minimum Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • previous administrative experience in an office setting and an understanding of proper office management practices
  • significant experience with Windows and Microsoft Office, preferably Word and Excel
  • excellent customer service skills
  • strong organization skills and ability to multi-task
  • effective written and oral communication skills
Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred or willingness to complete university provided training.
