DESCRIPTION

Seeking an individual to perform the duties related to direct contact, instruction, and supervision of individuals with disabilities. Including identifying barriers to progress, initiation, record keeping, meeting, and maintaining all rules of Pathfinder, Inc.

1 full-time position is available.

Location: Bentonville, AR.

DUTIES

Assists Counselor in formulation and revision of individual program plan.

Coordinates activities and opportunities for individual to meet objectives.

Maintains progress reports on participants.

Requisitions supplies and materials to provide social and prevocational training projects.

Examines items produced to determine if items meet specifications.

Interprets company policies to trainees and enforces safety regulations.

Interprets task assignments to trainees.

Establishes or adjusts procedures to accomplish tasks.

Recommends measures to improve methods to accomplish tasks or improve the quality of a product.

Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or trainees.

Analyzes and resolves problems, or assists trainees in solving problems.

General supervision and discipline of trainees at all times.

Initiates or suggests plans to motivate trainees to achieve their goals.

Maintains time and production records.

Confers with other program training instructors and the vocational counselors to coordinate activities.

Instructs and supervises trainees in the maintenance of clean workshop areas.

Sets up machines and equipment.

May be required to drive a Pathfinder vehicle to transport clients.

May be required to drive personal vehicle to pick up or deliver supplies.

Assists in driving the van to pick up or deliver trainees, as necessary.

Assists in pick up or delivery of subcontract goods, as necessary.

Schedules, performs and keeps documentation of all emergency preparedness drills.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of six months of full-time paid employment in regular industry or training facility for the developmentally disabled; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Up to three years of any combination of military service, education or business experience beyond the minimum requirements may be substituted for either the education or experience requirements.

Must posses current Arkansas's driver's license and have current auto liability insurance coverage and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
