The Office of Integrated Technologies seeks to fill a full-time programmer analyst position in the Academic Technologies group. The primary duty of this position is to support the college’s enterprise systems which support teaching and learning, as a member of a team supporting ANGEL, Moodle, Mahara, and other open source platforms. We are seeking an individual with strong programming, oral, written and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate is capable of working independently, as part of a development team, and with professional staff and faculty.

Primary position duties include:
• Analysis of end user requirements and workflows
• Design, programing/coding, implementation and support of custom applications and system access
• Installation of enterprise software applications and upgrades
• Monitoring application and/or systems performance

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree with strong technical background
  • One year of web application programming experience in a PHP/MySQL environment
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Familiarity with relational database design using SQL
  • Code documentation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain issues and solutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of APACHE on Linux and/or Windows
  • Object Oriented programming experience
  • Experience with open source tools such as Moodle 2.x, Wordpress 3.x, Drupal
  • Experience with custom theming and custom module development
  • Some experience with third party APIs (e.g., Google)
  • Experience with GIT, versioning software, bug tracking
  • Knowledge of JQuery/AJAX, XML, HTML5 and CSS3
  • Ability to develop or modify code using standard text editors
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with PHP MVC framework

Rank/Salary: $48,000-$52,000
