Strong COBOL Application developer who is proficient in providing technical mainframe support for our Long Term Care Administration System (CLOAS). Primary role will be supporting multiple application changes which involve extensive cross-functional interaction with Business Partners and other IT teams.

Ability to handle all aspects of systems development life cycle including the following:
•Analyze requests to determine the complexity
•Provide sizing estimates
•Translate requirements into design solutions
•Prepare detailed high/low level design documentation
•Walkthrough the design with business partners
•Prepare Test Plans
•Program solutions
•Support business teams through acceptance testing
•Prepare implementation & change control plans
Provide input to Project Leaders in estimating scope/cost of projects, budget planning, communicating status, prioritizing & mitigating risk, escalating & ownership of all issues, and using standard PMO methodology
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience in Computer Science
•5+ years previous experience in IT
•5+ years strong mainframe (COBOL) programming skills
•5+ Experience on CLOAS Administration System
•5+ years performing tasks in the Systems development life cycle
•5+ years people management experience
•Knowledge of the Insurance Industry as it relates to Health Insurance
•Strong communication and problem solving skills
•Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and multiple priorities
•5+ Experience on CLOAS Administration System
•IMS database experience in an MVS and CICS environment
•SQL programming experience - Oracle
•Experience in application software testing, QA methods and tools.
