Position Purpose:
We are looking for a strong SSAS developer to design and develop BI Solutions. Candidates with clearly demonstrated experience successfully analyzing, designing and developing enterprise level data warehousing applications on the Microsoft BI platform are preferred.

Major Accountabilities:
3+ years of experience with relational and dimensional database modeling including experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).

Programming experience with T-SQL Stored Procedures, MDX, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.

Extensive Integration Services experience including variables, package configurations and logging.

Experience configuring Dimension properties, attributes, and hierarchies in SQL Server Analysis Services using Visual Studio.

Knowledge of dimensional data analysis within Excel using pivot tables, spark lines, slicers and pivot charts.

Knowledge of Dynamic Dimension Security and Role Based Security in SQL Server Analysis Services.

Experience configuring SharePoint sites and PerformancePoint services.

Experience in authoring PerformancePoint dashboards and dashboard items such as KPIs, Reports, Indictors, Scorecards, and Filters with PerformancePoint Dashboard designer.

Experience designing, developing and deploying reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in both native and integrated mode.

Approaches position with a team attitude. Accepts and extends assistance from/to teammates and business partners. Supports team and department initiatives.

Effectively communicates with clients, peers and departmental management in business matters inclusive of those with technical content. Blends technical and non-technical perspectives in verbal and written communications, focusing on the underlying business benefit and/or impact of proposed action.

Provides project management for small to mid-size projects. Balances timing, resource and client constraints.

Independently interacts with internal clients to identify improvement opportunities through the effective use of technology. Guides the interaction to ensure client requirements are met through the use of appropriate technologies. Develops needed support materials to fully outline issues or support client educational needs.

Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

Leverages a functional, working knowledge of technologies. Balances technical concerns and client requirements. Knowledgeable of technology relationships and their role and impact in facilitating corporate operating activities.

Prepares and maintains system documentation.

Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodology is a plus.

Recommended Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline with four to six years work experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of two years work experience.

Special Qualifications:
A successful academic or work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, achieve desired results in a highly technical, operating environment. Incumbent must effectively deal with the rapid technological and business change while maintaining enthusiasm and displaying sound judgment and common sense. Training and experience in the use of Project Success Method is preferred. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 is highly desired. A strong understanding of data warehousing concepts is necessary. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio is required. Candidate must be a United States citizen.
