Job Description:
The Information Technology Department manages the technology and computer infrastructure that drives the organizations business systems. The position of Programmer/Systems Analyst is responsible for defining requirements and functional specifications, reviewing, analyzing an d modifying systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support web-based and desktop applications.
This position interacts with end users and key management personnel throughout the life cycle of the software by determining requirements. Upon determination of requirements, the Programmer/Analyst then designs, implements, tests and maintains systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Ø Designs, codes, tests, troubleshoots and documents software applications.
Ø Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our products and service lines.
Ø Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.
Ø Investigate and resolve application functiona lity related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our systems.
Ø Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
Ø Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
Ø Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications, and provide first level system documentation on completed tasks.
Ø Maintain professional and technical knowledge to ensure cutting edge technological leadership among the team by staying abreast of current tools, methodologies, technologies and language features.
Job Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Ø 3 + years of programming experience with a high-level language and a strong understanding of object oriented analysis, design and implementation.
Ø 2+ year(s) programming in the .NET Framework (VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET or Visual C++) or other C++ env ironments.
o Experience in multiple frameworks a plus.
Ø Some Knowledge of or Experience in web-based design/development using ASP.NET, AJAX, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Ø Knowledge of MS Visual Studio 2008 or 2010.
Ø Experience in relational database analysis, design and implementation.
Ø Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) with experience using stored procedures, functions, triggers and views.
Ø Programming experience on a Windows platform.
Ø Working knowledge of Windows Server environment.
Ø Excellent time management skills to handle multiple task assignments and prioritize work appropriately.
Ø Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ø Solid analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ø Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

Preferred, Not Required:
Ø Knowledge of MS Visual SourceSafe or SVN.
Ø Knowledge of MS SQL 2005 or 2008.
Ø Knowledge of Internet Information Services (IIS).
Ø Knowledge of MS Office Productivity Software.
Ø Experience with Linux variations.
Ø Knowledge of transportation industry (specifically Risk Management and Compliance regulated by the FMCSA).
