MetLife is building a Global Technology center in Raleigh, NC. Our technology group develops innovative, customer-centric solutions in a collaborative and fast paced work environment. We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team and help us build a world-class Global Technology organization.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for the design, development and implementation of applications following the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC). Assists in developing, testing, implementation and support of application systems.
Designs, codes and tests computer programs for projects at all levels of complexity.
Prepares test cases.
Prepares documentation for test and run procedures.
Oversees preparation of change tickets.
Prepares knowledge transfer session documents for operations.
Analysis and debugging of computer programs.
Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
3+ years of related work experience.
3+ years of experience programming in .Net or Java (1.6).
MS Office; intermediate level skills with Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
Experience with technologies such as .Net, Oracle 11g, SQL a plus.
Travel: 10 – 15%
