Our legacy of unsurpassed patient care and unceasing mission to integrate hightech medical research with clinical operations has led to our prestigious standing as one of the top 15 hospitals in the nation according to US News World Report As a premier health care institution dedicated to advancing health worldwide UCSF Medical Center can also be the best place to advance and shape your career The medical centers employees are one of the most important reasons why we are recognized as one of the nations best hospitals To work at UCSF Medical Center is to be part of an institution that provides the highest caliber of care to patients a nurturing dynamic and teamoriented atmosphere in which to best use your skills and talents Job Summary The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control (HEIC) is seeking a qualified individual with experience in administrative information systems to serve as a core member of the Data Management Unit (DMU) to support the medical center’s continued development and implementation of a surveillance database and reporting system Reporting to the DMU Supervisor the ProgrammerAnalyst will assess current state and maintain a current surveillance and reporting system including the creation of reports out of data warehouse sources as required The ProgrammerAnalyst will analyze processes and develop deliverables throughout project lifecycles that support the development or selection installation documentation implementation and deployment of systems that lead to improved and automated business processes reporting and controls Furthermore this position is responsible for administration and development of Data Warehouse services to the HEIC and related groups This is a broad scope of effort and will also involve the understanding of source systems the flow and bottlenecks of data within the Medical Center and the data needs of HEIC customers Additionally this position would be responsible for creating reports through Business Objects as well as undertaking adhoc SQL NET and other development as needed Required Qaulatification BA or BS degree 5+ years in healthcare data analysis and support 2+ years’ experience Business Objects administration and development including building Universes Cubes and Dashboards 2+ years’ experience with administration and programming of Microsoft SQL including ETL and data modelling Working knowledge of information security best practices and demonstrated commitment to information security Preferred Qualifications Masters degree or 8+ years 5+ years in healthcare data analysis and support APeX Clarity certification Handon development work in a NET environment SAP Business Objects Certification Required LicensesCertifications EITHER SAP Business Object Certification or APeX Clarity Certification
