Primary responsibilities include:
- Consults with and analyzes user's needs to ensure the software developed fulfills required needs. Designs system flows and develops software specifications to ensure the agreed upon requirements are met. Tests software thoroughly to ensure all expected results are verified and discrepancies are resolved.
- Documents both technical aspects concerning the development software as well as user based documentation. Provides user based training which may include in-person, one-to-one, group, video, and online training.
- Serves as project manager on development projects which include organizing user meetings, detailing user specifications, organizing and analyzing software testing methods, leading software development within user specifications, implementing software within specification, and maintaining software through its full lifecycle.
- Stays expertly abreast of emerging development technologies within the software industry. Presents new technologies to staff as recognized and brings forward the best industry practices for inclusion into the development strategies of the service.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of three and a half years programming experience or relevant experience in lieu of education.
Must have expert knowledge and experience developing using Microsoft .Net technologies (.Net MVC 3, ASP.net). Must be able to demonstrate expert skills in web application design, programming skills in Visual Basic, C#, HTML, CSS, and jQuery. Experience with SAML authentication and RESTful API development and utilization is a huge plus.
