Under general direction, the Project Coordinator coordinates projects through various project stages including implementation, project management, analysis, reports, orientation, and training.
Develop and adhere to project time and task schedules, identify opportunities to improve the project process, and develop quality improvement activities accordingly.
Coordinate complex project tasks, such as convening technical expert panels.
Assist in coordinating project management tasks, including communication (written, phone, fax), and conference calls.
Assist in tracking subcontractors deliverables.
Assist in developing written reports and other project deliverables.
Communicate with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and project partners, subcontractors, and other entities on the project as directed.
Track, coordinate, and facilitate meetings and educational sessions. Maintain records for audit purposes.
Generate reports and materials for meetings and other educational sessions.
Use the Internet to research upcoming measure-related events and maintain the CMS Measures Calendar.
Accountable for the timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and quality of all assigned functions and tasks.
In this position, the employee may be subject to environmental conditions related to vehicular travel to and from facilities.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS/COMPETENCIES
Ability to use and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods of time.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Ability to communicate face-to-face and through telecommunications and written correspondence with individuals using the English language.
Ability to understand presentation information.
Ability to travel occasionally by motor vehicle and/or aircraft.
Ability to adhere to established company confidentiality policies.
Ability to lift, carry, and set-up educational equipment such as projectors, overheads, and recorders.
1. Bachelors degree in business, science, or health-care-related field.
2. Minimum of two years of work experience in a business or healthcare setting.
3. Quality management experience preferred.
4. Familiarity with the Windows environment.
5. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
6. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
