CUIT requires a senior level Project Director to provide strategic project management and leadership for multiple PeopleSoft Applications. This incumbent will manage major releases and upgrades of PeopleSoft and strategically plan for enhancements and new module implementations. The Project Director will provide high level direction to ensure overall success of assigned initiatives by developing project implementation plans. As a PeopleSoft Project Director, you will be providing project management and leadership for the following PeopleSoft Applications: Finance, Human Resources and Student. Type of PeopleSoft projects include: major releases/upgrades, enhancement and new module implementation projects. Responsibilities include (but not limited to): - Provides project management and direction to ensure overall success of assigned initiatives by developing project implementation plans including scope of project, project goals, scheduling and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management. - Establishes full project lifecycle plans for one or more projects, typically costing >$3M (at least one project totally to approximately $3mm), and of high visibility and complexity (multiple sponsors/ business units, more than 10 project FTEs). - Ensures that appropriate planning has been completed in preparation for the start of the project. - Develops an appropriate implementation plan that focuses on current and future functional performance objectives. Determines resource and skills set requirements for project team staffing and roles in order to achieve objectives - Allocates staff and budget, resources, as needed to achieve the objectives of one or more projects. - Provides accountability for the financial management/budgeting process for assigned projects/programs. - Assesses on-going/future customer requirements and operational needs. - Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies potential risks and devises contingency plans. - Drafts and submits budget proposals and recommends subsequent budget changes; estimates resources needed to achieve project goals. - Proactively manages full life-cycle of IT initiatives, including overall project plan, scope, change control, risks, issues, impacts, and reporting through standardization and best practice project implementation. - Promotes the use and adoption of standard Project Management Methodology (PMM) and supports functional and IT project managers by providing guidance in the usage of PMM. - Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises project team members and contractors and influences them to take positive action and accountability for assigned work. - Ensures timely and on-budget delivery and project implementation. Deliver operational excellence through development, formal release schedules and release management processes, service level agreements (SLAs), problem resolution through system monitoring, and change management. - Champion and ensure compliance with organizational standards, practices and methodologies. - Strategically plan and prioritize software/solution releases within planned release schedules based on enterprise business strategy, business and technology need, and impact while assuring appropriate scope, size and impact of releases to end users. **A COVER LETTER AND RESUME WITH SALARY HISTORY ARE REQUIRED FOR CONSIDERATION.**

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree. Advanced degree strongly preferred. - 7+ years of full life-cycle PeopleSoft implementations/upgrades including management of ERP systems solutions within a decentralized environment. - Demonstrated project management, personnel, financial, vendor management, skills and experience; including project design, implementation, reporting and evaluation to ensure high quality deliverables. - Substantial PeopleSoft hands-on and leadership experience is a must. - Demonstrated ability to interact with w C-level executives. - Experience in deploying ERP solutions within a decentralized environment. - Strong hands-on systems analysis experience. - Awareness of current and emerging trends in information management and technology and its potential application. - Demonstrated ability to lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes. - Demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills, particularly in reporting, public presentation and consultation, and the ability to negotiate and communicate with relevant internal and external stakeholders. - High level conceptual and analytical skills and the ability to foster a culture of learning by exploring creative solutions. - Ability to work independently with little direction. - Strong oral communication skills. - Ability to define product benefits effectively to non- technical management.
Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

  • Skilled at applying structured Project Life Cycle methodology. - Experience in the use of the MS Office tool suite and MS Project working with sub-projects and linked projects is required - Experience with multiple server hardware platforms and middle-tier and storage systems and software. - Experience with Application Development Life Cycle methodology.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree strongly preferred. - Implementation or operations experience PeopleSoft HR, Finance and Student systems - Experience in deploying ERP solutions within a university environment. - Consulting experience - PMP Certification strongly preferred.
