Level: I/J**Depending on level of experience
This position will write test plans for refrigeration equipment such as ice machines, reach in refrigerators and freezers etc. to standardized ASHRAE/ARI and UL test standards. This position will also perform analysis of data, including charting, and test data interpretation. Will work with customers to write custom test plans and final reports, conduct update meetings and resolve any technical difficulties as they arise. Will assist lab staff and Senior Engineers in the proper setup and installation of test equipment and instrumentation. Overflow duties will include a minor role in client proposal development, invoicing and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned. Travel: 3%.
Candidate must be able to work with large volumes of data, charting, using tools such as Excel proficiently, PowerPoint skills. Must have an understanding of basic thermodynamics as it relates to vapor compression refrigeration cycles. Must have the ability to interpret and summarize complex standards from ASHRAE and ARI/ UL, write test plans for technicians to follow. Understanding of data acquisition systems is a plus. Candidate also must possess good verbal, written communication skills. Client facing experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical preferred) plus two (2) years related experience.
