The Project Manager – Business Solutions will serve as the technology leader for material planning processes in the GE Transportation Supply Chain. In this role you will be responsible for driving strategy, simplification, and standardizations in delivering IT solutions.
In addition you will:
Serve as solutions delivery expert for the design and implementation of material planning programs and initiatives
Lead process re-engineering efforts through CAP (Change Acceleration pProcess) to build standard and scalable processes to support Supply Chain growth
Lead the planning, development, and execution of multiple programs to migrate material planning processes from legacy systems to Oracle ERP
Serve as technical expert on multiple Oracle Applications Value Chain Planning (VCP) modules including; Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Demand Management, and Advanced Planning Command Center
Serve as technical expert on processes related to item and BOM creation, setup, and management
Serve as technical expert on processes related to generating supply / demand based on Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Resource Planning (MRP)
Lead projects utilizing Six Sigma DMAIC processes and tools to improve operational efficiencies and enable growth
Maintain peer relationships across IT areas (Supply Chain, Services, Shared Services, and CTO) to support affective implementations and leverage best practices
Perform assigned tasks and project assignments in order to meet goals and objectives of programs
Provide technical expertise and counsel to management, other organizations, and special projects personnel with respect to ERP modules
Establish the priority of work to meet objectives
Estimate costs and schedules and recommend resource required and solutions to problems, which arise during the course of a project
Serve as a primary interface with internal and external contributing organization relative to technical requirements, directions, and problem resolution
Collaborate with management in developing technical directions, setting objectives, and setting realistic and challenging goals
Implement work activities to meet these plans, monitor progress, and report status
Provide timely leadership and direction to supporting organizations
Assist in the modification or establishment of operating practices
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Information Systems and IT experience)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Information Systems position
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Oracle EBS Application experience

Experience in Advanced Supply Chain Planning
Minimum of 2 years hands-on Oracle EBS Application experience in the following modules: Inventory Management, Engineering, Bills of Material, and Discrete Manufacturing
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Project Management experience
APICS Certification (or equivalent experience)
Able to translate business requirements into strong technical solutions
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
