Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the timely and profitable implementation and integration of complex radio communication and IT systems. Project Manager will develop and manage project plans including work breakdown structures, schedules, contracting and project budgets. PM will identify and facilitate the procurement of resources, including 3rd parties, develop and implement risk management plans. The PM will act as primary point of contact with customers, manage customers' expectations, direct other team members and communicate with management. Quality and customer satisfaction are critical objectives. Responsible for forecasting project revenue and tightly managing the project P&L.
This position will be ideally located in central Florida (Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota), but must located in Florida.
Bachelor degree preferred, advanced degree a plus.
4+ years of Project or Program Management experience, preferably in the technology sector and more specifically in the government or commercial wireless communications or IT industry. Site development experience a major plus.
PMP certification a plus. If you don’t already have it, you must begin taking training classes within six months of your hire date, with the objective being the attainment of your PMP certification within two years.
Demonstrated ability to successfully apply advanced project management skill in such areas as project planning and management, customer relations, team building, matrix management, conflict resolution, and budget. Capable of developing detailed project status reports and conducting formal customer briefings.
Computer skills capable of working with databases, Outlook, MS Office and Project, and some AutoCAD. Knowledge and ability to work Oracle PM and reporting are critical.
Quote activity, ensuring service quotations are correct, and writing subcontracts.
Must be capable of traveling to project assignments up to 75% of time.
