Our Application Services Project Management Office (PMO) was established in 2012 with the mission to be the high quality PMO that successfully delivers projects and programs through strong leadership and project management discipline, focusing on value and innovation for our business. The core competencies of our PMO include business strategy partnership, delivery management, and standards and methodology.
We are expanding the PMO team with the addition of a new Project Manager. This exciting leadership role will focus on:
•Project delivery for programs and projects, providing solid leadership and project management discipline to project teams.
•Playing an active role in evolving the project management capabilities for Application Services.
•This role will also evolve to have direct people management responsibilities of Analysts, including hiring, career development and delivery oversight.
Professional Qualifications / Functional & Personal Skills:
•8-10+ years of formal project management experience in managing complex projects that span multiple development and other functional teams of 10-15+ staff.
•Ability to work closely with senior IT and business leaders to ensure that delivery expectations are developed, managed and met.
•Proven expertise and application of project delivery responsibilities for complex projects and/or programs spanning the full lifecycle from proposal development to post-implementation close-out.
•Demonstrated ability to build high-performing project teams by effectively leading and providing work direction for others.
•Demonstrated ability to conduct business impact and cost/benefit analysis evaluations and recommend the appropriate course of action for assigned projects.
•Proven expertise and application of various development methodologies (waterfall, Agile and RUP).
•Solid working knowledge of business and data modeling, systems analysis, user interface design and solutions architecture.
•Experience in leading areas of a PMO with a strong interest and track record in influencing change in project and program management best practices.
•Willingness to travel to other Capital Group locations on a regular basis, including regular travel to Downtown and/or West LA.
•Big 4 consulting a plus.
