Job Summary:
The Manager for Meaningful Use & CHIPRA Grant plans, manages and coordinates meaningful use activities to ensure SCPA goals and objectives are accomplished within the specified time-frame and funding parameters. The Manager will be responsible for the management of all activities to remediate all current clinical, registration/demographic and operational systems within the health system that must meet Meaningful Use criteria and quality measures as defined by the HITECH Act (as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act). The Manager shall coordinate Meaningful Use activities of departments as well as prepares activity, performance, progress reports and budget recommendations. Leads vendor issue management and escalations related to meaningful Use. Develops process, procedure and practice to coordinate and execute Meaningful Use work across Group, Corporate IT and the healthcare network. He or she is responsible for the successful planning and execution of all projects related to meaningful use. This includes the coordination, monitoring, and status reporting of all clinical and technological components related to the demonstration of meaningful use across the health system.

Skills & Abilities:
Understands and maintains currency of Meaningful Use regulatory requirements.

Experience with Physician practice operations, Systems Analysis, Design and Development, Programming Skills and Concepts, Budget Review and Policy Administration Project Management, Time and Staff Management, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Coordination of Support Functions, Business Modeling, Process Improvement.

Bridge between Tenet, St. Chris, and outside partners.

Responsible for working with Tenet IS, Section leaders and end users to develop project plans outlining deliverables, requirements, risks, assumptions, key stakeholders, roles and responsibilities and budget.

Ability to establish work plan and staffing for each project phase and arranges for recruitment needs as applicable.

Confers with end users and Meaningful Use Team to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.

Manages activities of Meaningful Use Team to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget.

Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and/or plans as required.

Analyzes data, prepares and presents project reports for management, clients or others.

Provides project staff with technical advice and problem resolution.

Monitors vendor performance on deliverables and takes corrective action as necessary.

Tracks actual performance against planned project performance, analyze variances and problem solve to ensure all customer needs are met while maintaining control of the project.

Gathers, organizes, verifies, composes, and/or analyzes data in the completion of several defined, multi-step procedures.

Experience with NextGen EHR, Crystal Reports and MS SQL.

Knowledge of accounting, budgeting and elementary finance necessary.

Knowledge of and experience with automated systems, hardware and software to include Practice Management and Microsoft Suite applications.

Ability to communicate needs and concerns in a positive, constructive, and professional manner.

Qualifications

:

Training & Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare services, or a related field.

Graduate degree or training in healthcare management, business management, or related field is desirable.

Experience:
Experience Required: A minimum of five years experience managing complex EHR implementation and optimization projects across multiple facilities in a dynamic health system is necessary.
