Responsible for managing projects involving cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or service to both/either internal and/or external customers.

A commitment to predictability, cost control, schedule control, product quality, scope management and effective communication.

Usually manages projects of less than 1 year duration, no more than medium risk and less than 25 cross-functional resources

Provides monitoring and control of the project from initiation through delivery.

Plans cross-functional activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.

Works with functional management to ensure that appropriate staffing and tools are available.

Plans and executes in alignment with functional processes.

Negotiates processes with functional leads as dictated by the parameters of the project.

Responsibilities typically include identifying and prioritizing company need(s), defining project scope and objectives, identifying and negotiating appropriate resources, assigning individual responsibilities, developing schedules to ensure timely completion and final delivery of a solution to meet the previously identified company needs(s).

Responsible for maintaining project schedule in MS Project, and detailed project budgets in MS Excel, extensive experience in both tools critical to success in this position

Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Project Management, Business Management or appropriate combination of education and related experience

Related graduate degree desired (Master's in Business or Project Management)

PMI or similar certification highly preferred

Must have Agile/Scrum Background

Experience: - 5-10 years demonstrated success in leadership of small sized or larger projects in the software or related industry.

5-10 years working on extremely complex problems and situations that require knowledge of project management and how it inter-relates to other disciplines.

Proven experience managing cross-functional project teams with team members located in remote locations.

Demonstrated experience with complex problems and situations that require an in-depth knowledge of own discipline and how it inter-relates to other disciplines.

An understanding of critical and creative thinking. Proven decision making skills as well as objective and methodical problem analysis.

A balanced combination of both academic and practical experience with knowledge of industry best practices.- Familiar with diverse, highly complex problems and adept at devising reasonable solutions or appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
