Oldcastle Precast is looking for a Project Manager to join our Modular division in Philadephia, PA. This individual lans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.p

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.

Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.

Confers with project staff to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.

Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.

Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.

Negotiates all pricing for project. Writes all Po's and Subcontracts for project materials and work. Analyzes project cost to assure budget is met or exceeded.

Reviews drawings.

Communicates with customer to establish work schedules, resolve disputes

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises the project and any assistant project managers working on the project. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Five + years’ experience in a project management position required.

Must have experience either working with a large general contractor or large specialty subcontractor / supplier in a project management capacity.

Excellent organizational skills, comfortable with planning and logistics. Proficient in project management software.

Strong Planning, Analytical and computer skills (intermediate Excel, PowerPoint,).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
