Position: Project Manager- Production
Timeframe: August/2012
Duties
Assist in training, developing, and coordinating of all aspects of project planning.
Working with customers via telephone to determine their requirements for aerial image capture
Obtaining, converting and applying digital elevation data (DEM)
Obtaining and applying Geographical Information Systems data (GIS)
Using proprietary software to assign image capture rules to groundspace and controlled airspace
Producing and/or delegating flight planning responsibilities to flight planners
Troubleshooting issues with elevation data, GIS data, airspace, etc.
Provide technical support to other departments
Skills Required
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Able to quickly learn applications such as CAD, GIS (i.e., ESRI's ArcView 9.x), database programs
Able to manage a diverse array of issues to arrive at solutions
Self starter, self managed, motivated and eager to learn
Able to keep accurate records and communicate status to Production and other departments
Complete comfort with Microsoft Windows 2000/XP operating system environment
Experience or familiarity with GIS, CAD, aerial imaging a plus, expertise in these areas is not required
Punctuality and willingness to work until the task is completed are requirements
Must have track record of thoroughness, attention to detail and ownership of work
Reports to VP, Production
